Oya Incense Set brass

FEATURES

Oya Incense Plate is a multi-use incense plate that makes use of the texture and characteristics of Oya stone.

Oya stone is a type of tuff that is found exclusively in the town of Oya, Tochigi. This stone boasts exceptional fire and heat resistance and can withstand temperatures of over 1000°C. Due to its remarkable durability, Oya stone is commonly used in kamado (Japanese cooking stoves), stone kilns, and incinerators. Additionally, the unique texture of Oya stone ensures that each product has a distinct appearance.

Poly Incense Holder brass is for stick-type incense. This icosahedral incense holder is crafted through precision die-casting, ensuring a high level of detail and quality. It features two types of holes—one large and the other small—that can be utilized at three different angles, catering to a variety of stick-type incenses, including incense sticks and bamboo incenses.
Brass is renowned for its exceptional qualities, including workability and superior corrosion resistance. It serves various purposes in our everyday lives, such as in brass instruments, building materials, Buddhist altars, coins and more. Over time, brass acquires an exclusive allure as its hues and texture evolve gradually due to natural occurrences such as surface oxidation. The intentional lack of treatment on the surface allows you to appreciate the evolving characteristics of the material.
Any remaining incense or ash can be removed cleanly by pushing out from the other side of the through-hole with a pin or something similar.
