Poly Aqua is a polyhedral tin casting specifically designed for use in vases. Tin, known for its antibacterial properties, is believed to enhance water retention. We prioritize sustainability by utilizing recycled tin sourced from scrap materials generated during the manufacturing process of tin products as well as recycled tin products.
The polyhedral shape of Poly Aqua is an icosahedron, featuring 20 faces and representing the polyhedron with the most faces in three-dimensional space. Despite its simplistic form, it presents multiple facets when viewed from different angles, creating captivating reflections and a multitude of expressions.
This versatile product is also used as a paperweight or a striking home accent. Each piece boasts a unique casting texture, resulting in individual expressions and adding to its overall allure.
Production Background: This product has been designed to maximize the use of recycled tin. Typically, we utilize high-purity tin (99.99%) in our manufacturing processes. However, during the casting of tin products, there is always some amount of scrap material generated. To minimize waste and promote sustainability, we melt and recycle this scrap material.
During the recycling process, impurities can accumulate, making it challenging to maintain the 99.99% purity level. In order to avoid compromising the purity standards, we cannot fully reuse all of the scrap material. Instead, we carefully stock a certain amount of it. Even though the scrap material may not meet the 99.99% purity requirement, it still possesses a high level of purity.
The purpose of this product is to recycle and breathe new life into the scrap material, embracing the concept of sustainability and creating a positive environmental impact.
